Fori and Allison's deCordova Museum Wedding - Lincoln, MA

Updated: Feb 29, 2020

There is nothing I love more than a unique wedding venue. When Fori and Allison first inquired with me and we were talking over their day they told me their plans to have the wedding at the deCordova Museum and I couldn’t have been more excited. I had heard of the museum from friends before but hadn’t had the opportunity to go. The museum has both indoor and outdoor art exhibits, some of which are really breathtaking. Being able to visit the museum to scout locations was really a cool way to experience it for the first time.

I arrived to the deCordova Museum a little earlier than my start time to check things out again. The weather that day had been a bit gloomy so grass was very wet, but lighting was easy to work with. I met Fori, her bridal party and parents in the coolest library with two wall to ceiling bookshelves. After working with Fori for a little while I ran over to Allison and his side to grab some quick shots of the guys getting ready. This was a shorter day for me so I tried to squeeze in as much as we could.

Just before the ceremony we headed up to the rooftop deck for group shots. It was such a great view from up there and we had a blast capturing those images. We quickly made our way back downstairs to get ready for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony was being held in one of the exhibit halls which made from a somewhat challenging, but really fun place to shoot. There were so many emotions throughout Fori and Allison’s ceremony it was really beautiful and made for some really great images.

Their reception was hosted by the one and only E.C.F. Entertainment, who I happened to be there working on behalf of. DJ Rolling Rick and their photobooth had people really having a great time all night.

The deCordova Museum may be one of my new favorite venues.
